Byzantine Electroformed Ring
An unusual and striking ring, created with a copper base and using a technique called electroforming.
The shank of this ring has a subtle texture, similar to my etched silver rings, and the urn shaped shank cradles a piece of selenite crystal.
This ring is a UK size R.
Please be sure of your ring size before ordering - you can buy a reusable ring sizer from a well known auction site for aroud £1 or I can supply you with one for £2.50. In addition I have a post on my Facebook page that describes a way you can measure your finger and provide me with the measurement so that I can work out your ring size.
Care Instructions
Unlike my sterling silver rings this piece should be handled more carefully in terms of cleaning. Copper will always oxidise more quickly and to a darker shade than silver and I created this ring in a style that I felt would complement its natural tendency to oxidise.
You may also find that the copper leaves a mark on your finger when you wear this ring - that's completely natural and cannot be stopped from happening unless a barrier is applied - this can be achieved by painting a coat of clear nail varnish on the inside of the ring. This will eventually wear off and so you should apply more clear nail varnish as required.
Packaging
All of my packaging is created from recycled and recyclable card, including the care card. Items are wrapped in acid free tissue paper and secured with washi tape. Once the washi tape has been removed from your items and the stamp removed from your outer packaging the boxes can be reused, composted or placed in your recycling bin.
